Meet Our Team
CEO
Andreanna King, LCSW, LICSW
Welcome! I am grateful you stopped by and are considering services at Brave companion family counseling during a vulnerable time in your life. I believe that we are shaped by each experience we have, the systems we interact with, and the relationships we engage in. Every individual is unique in their identities (race, gender, sexual orientation, Roles, culture, religion, etc.). Those identities are key factors in the individual’s view of the world and interaction within it.
I practice from a strength-based perspective. I believe you possess all you need to make the improvements you want to see in your life. I am here to facilitate your personal growth through tools, perspective and guidance. I have a Masters degree in Social Work. During undergraduate school, I studied Sociology and Gender and Sexuality Studies. I am excited to begin this journey with you, and look forward to hearing from you.

SARA BAGGIA, LGSW
Accepting clients in Washington D.C. & California
Hello, I’m Sara Baggia, a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) based in Washington, DC. I’m originally from Los Angeles, where I completed my Master of Social Welfare at UCLA. My journey in mental health began when I recognized a lack of mental health resources in my community, particularly in immigrant and low- to middle-income communities. I wanted to help bring mental health and social welfare services to those who needed them most. I also realized that mental health stigma remains a barrier in many communities, so I strive to raise awareness about the importance of caring for your mental health. Just as we take care of our physical bodies, it’s equally important to care for our mental well-being to truly thrive.
As a Muslim immigrant woman living in the U.S., I have faced a unique set of challenges that have shaped who I am today. I bring my full self to my practice, and my personal experiences have greatly influenced my approach as a therapist. My spirituality fuels my deep care for others and my commitment to fostering the wellness and well-being of those I work with.
My experience is grounded in trauma-informed care, and I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term shelters, and transitional housing programs. I have worked with young adults to older adults, addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, spirituality, and adjustment disorders, using a diverse range of evidence-based practices.
I am dedicated to providing a validating, non-judgmental, and healing space where clients feel valued, heard, and empowered. In my practice, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to meet the unique needs of each client.
It would be an honor to work with you and walk alongside you on your journey to mental well-being. Together, we can navigate the challenges you face, and I will support and empower you in finding balance and healing.

I provide a cognitive behavioral modality of therapy while focusing on a person-centered approach in delivery of services. Educating clients in how previous trauma impacts the brain is a specific area of expertise I have obtained after working with clients impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
I look forward to working with clients that desire to learn and implement effective coping skills that will assist them in achieving personal balance in their lives by focusing on six core areas that include self-esteem, self-control, trust, self-care, and setting appropriate boundaries with themselves and others.
